Recorded in Indianapolis, engineered and co-produced by Emmy award winning engineer Kent Vernon at the Utility Room, The Swell Crusade’s debut album was completed and released independently in early June of 2019.
The recording process proved to be fruitful with the final mix showcasing the stylistic leanings of the past 30 years of alternative and indie rock. The resultant debut album features tight, punchy, hook and groove oriented songs with equal parts Jangle Pop, Brit-Pop, and Post-Punk, with elements of Shoegaze, Folk-Rock, and Classic Rock.
